Position Overview: As a Plumbing Laborer / Pre-Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in supporting our plumbing operations and projects. This entry-level position is designed to provide hands-on experience in the plumbing trade while working alongside skilled professionals. You will be exposed to various aspects of plumbing tasks and gain valuable knowledge that will serve as a foundation for your future career as a plumber.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist plumbers and plumbing technicians in daily tasks and projects
- Carry and organize tools and materials required for plumbing work
- Dig trenches and prepare work areas for plumbing installations and repairs
- Assemble and disassemble pipes, fittings, and fixtures under supervision
- Clean and maintain work areas and equipment
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams
- Support in the installation of plumbing systems and fixtures
- Develop basic knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations
- Assist in the setup and cleanup of job sites
- Gain exposure to safety practices and protocols in the plumbing industry
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong willingness to learn and develop plumbing skills
- Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Basic understanding of hand tools and their usage
- Enthusiasm for working in a hands-on, dynamic environment
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
